Newly Released Book Opens the Door of Fate to Readers

A new anthology, The Simple Touch of Fate, offers evidence that Fate may indeed guide our lives from the simplest to the most complex of ways.

(PRWEB) May 29, 2004 --It is two soldiers miraculously saved as they lay dying in the barren wastes of Iraq. It is a nurse who tends to an accident victim only to learn that the woman is her birth mother. It is finding the person you will marry because you both get on the wrong train. It is the person you meet in the present who has incredible ties to your past. Fate is what we experience almost every day, guiding our existence behind the scenes.

A new anthology, The Simple Touch of Fate, compiled and edited by Arlene Uslander and Brenda Warneka, offers evidence that Fate may indeed guide our lives from the simplest to the most complex of ways. The co-editors, veteran authors, also wrote some of the stories.

The Simple Touch of Fate is a fascinating collection of true stories, revealing compassion, mystery, humor and warmth, written by people from various walks of life as they tell about their personal brush with Fate. To quote one reviewer, Sheila Roe, AOL City Guide writer, The stories span several decades and cross the globe, adding elements of timelessness and universality to the concept of Fate. They open the door to consider forces at work in your own life."

One of the stories in the book, "Honor, Courage and Commitment," is about how retired Marine Larry Hicks saved the life of NASCAR celebrity Jack Roush. Sergeant Major Hicks rescue has been written up in national publications, but he says that Brenda Warnekas rendition in The Simple Touch of Fate is the most accurate about what happened and best describes his feelings, both during and after the rescue.

Tom Smith, a Hollywood film producer of six feature films, and co-producer of the CBS TV mini-series, Jack and the Beanstalk; the Real Story says about The Simple Touch of Fate: Uslander and Warneka have assembled a great collection of interesting and sometimes puzzling tales. Arlene Uslanders 'The Seat in the Window brought tears to my eyes."

What could Fate have in store for you today or tomorrow? How has it touched your past and molded your present? The Simple Touch of Fate begs readers to answer a very basic question for themselves...Was it just a coincidence, or was it meant to be?
