Saving Lives
A new company is implementing a system in a Mid-Missouri City that will make drivers more aware of approaching emergency vehicles.
(PRWEB) May 1, 2004 --Emergency Alert Response System (E.A.R.S) is a new patent pending transmitter/receiver system that will allow drivers to become more aware of approaching emergency vehicles who are on an emergency run. The transmitters are connected to the emergency vehicle's emergency equipment. It is activated ONLY when the emergency vehicle has activated the emergency equipment (lights & sirens). This transmitter sends out a signal to the receiver units in civilain vehicles and causes the receiver to emit an audible beep and a flashing light when that emergency vehicle is within 1500' of the civilian vehicle. This allows the civilian vehicle time to locate and re-act to the approaching emergency vehcile.
Every day we are losing highly trained professionals in law enforcement, firefighting and emergency medical services. With this system, we will be able to reduce the number of people who are injured or killed every day because they were not aware of an approaching emergency vehicle.
To make this system easily obtained by the emergency services, we are giving the transmitters & the installation to these departments. We have received a great response from area departments including the Boone Hospital Center Ambulance Service & Cole County Sheriffs Department.
