Paul Adkison, founder of IQMax, has been nominated for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year award
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) May 1, 2004 --In 1999, Paul Adkison launched his Charlotte, NC based company, IQMax, Inc. with a vision of extending the capabilities of personal digital assistants (PDAs) beyond the consumer oriented functionality to the business enterprise market. Four years later, his vision has developed into a national organization providing an extensive suite of mobile solutions with a focus on the ambulatory and acute healthcare industry.

Prior to founding IQMax, Mr. Adkison successfully managed multi-million dollar projects for IBM, Solectron Technologies, NCR, Maytag, Scientific Atlanta and Northern Telecom. Accomplishments to his credit include the design and delivery of Internet connection modems and high-bandwidth switch gear that integrate hand-held wireless devices, eventually delivering voice and text 100 times faster than then current technology.
He also co-founded three other entrepreneurial ventures including Incenta, an Internet-based affinity company (Smart Card technology), Thermo-dynamics, a manufacturer and distributor of heat management products and Amber Technologies, an engineering company offering hardware, firmware and software in the thermal printer/kiosk and mobile hand-held wireless industry.
Paul is an alumnus of East Carolina University where he earned a B.S. degree in Finance and a B.A degree in Marketing.
