Exciting new jazz publication set to launch in May 2004
Noir magazine is set to launch in May of 2004 offering a unique perspective on jazz told from an African-American point of view.
Irving, TX (PRWEB) May 4, 2004 --A planned bi-monthly publication targeting African-American consumers to be distributed nationwide as an insert in Sunday newspapers, Noir will feature articles and editorials on jazz musicians of color as well general information about the jazz world at large. World class artists renditions of jazz will be featured on the cover of each issue of Noir bringing a refreshing new look to the publishing world while offering artists from all around the globe the opportunity to showcase their work.
Noir will cover all genres of jazz with unmatched style and grace giving artists an unprecedented forum to discuss their views and opinions as we strive to reunite jazz and the African-American community. Theres been a lot of talk in recent years about how to bring back the black audience. Our position is that part of the problem has been that there has never been a print medium that could draw the listener and the musician closer and create the type of interest necessary for both parties to develop a deep appreciation for one another. We are confident that through Noir, that will no longer be the case," says publisher Crystal Wilburn.
