About The Artist:
Born in New Jersey in 1927, Arthur Secunda (aka Arturo Secunda) attended New York University and the Art Students League, continuing his art studies in Paris with Ossip Zadkine, Andre L'hote, and at the Academic de la Grande Chaumiere.

For years, Secunda supported his art (and himself) by working at a variety of jobs which included being a milkman, museum curator of education, jazz pianist, university instructor and lecturer, radio and TV personality, art critic, factory worker, illustrator and ceramic designer. He now devotes full time to his art and presently divides his residence between Scottsdale, Arizona and Southern France.

Secunda's works are in the permanent collections of major institutions internationally including the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.; the Chicago Art Institute; the Honolulu Academy of Fine Arts and the Detroit Art Institute in the U.S. In addition to the Tel Aviv Museum, his art has been acquired by European museums in Aries, Geneva, Stockholm, Choler, Ostend, Brussels, Zurich.
