Controversial Book Gives Daring Twist On Black Culture!

A revealing look at Black culture, with topics running the gamut from hair texture to religious ideology to Black-on-Black violence.

(PRWEB) May 9, 2004 --- Publish America is pleased to announce a new book, My Head Is Bloody, But Unbowed" by author Peggy Butler. Refreshing and overtly straightforward, the book is a daring collection of 40 commentaries symbolizing the Afrocentric Experience, with topics ranging from Color Consciousness (light vs. dark) to Black-on-Black violence.

Revealing, controversial but never boring, My Head Is Bloody, But Unbowed is a birds eye view of the world from a woman who has experienced the best and worst of Black America. Thus, in reading this book, it is the authors desire that African-Americans will observe the negative and positive aspects of their persona and vigorously pursue the American dream of life, liberty and happiness.

Published by PublishAmerica (http://www.PublishAmerica.com) in Baltimore, the book is available on the Internet through PublishAmerica.com Tel: 1-877-333-7422 or fax: 1-301-631-9073, through wholesalers Ingram, Baker & Taylor and Broadart Co- (1-800-233-8467) and online at barnesandnoble.com. or www.amazon.com.

Early reviews indicate that the book makes interesting reading for Blacks of all ages and socioeconomic status. Hence, the following review by Elantis Cranston, author of the pending novel Heavenly Blues illustrates that statement. Cranston, a native of Philadelphia, characterizes the book as: A cornucopia of controversy that dares the reader to challenge its concept. The book begins innocently with a challenge to the 21st Century Black Man, and veers into territory that far too often we refuse to explore. Then, just when you think youve heard it all, the author takes you on a journey that leaves you gasping and fine tuning your logistical pistons."
