Winner of 2004 Presidential race may have pie on his face. Updated May 7th.

First candidate to grab a slice of this pie may also grab the 2004 Election. Updated May 7th: One campaign has given a thumbs up on wanting to be the first to grab the pie when visiting region

Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) May 7, 2004 -- The real 2004 Presidential race officially starts on Mothers Day, May 9th, at 8:00 am, and ends Election Day. The first candidate who grabs a slice of plaidberry pie from my hands will win the 2004 presidential election." Those are the words of Dennis Dickson, the owner of the Decadence Bakery and Tea Shop in Carlsbad, CA.

One campain has already said they are interested in being the first to grab the pie. "A senior campaign official has promised us that with time allowing, when in San Diego their candidate will take a detour to grab the pie." Dickson said. Adding, "If I say which candidate it is, It may appear that I'm taking an unfair interest in that particular candidate, When the first candidate takes the pie from my hands, the world will know about it."

Dickson plans to carry on a family tradition that began 128 years ago in Dumfries Scotland. Starting in 1876, the first candidate who grabbed a slice of plaidberry pie from the hands of Dickson's great grandfather Henry Dickson would win that election. That tradition held true for many years until 1890 when Henry Dickson immigrated to Canada.

Dennis Dickson who still bakes plaidberry pies in his Carlsbad bakery will continue that tradition for the first time in the United States. Dickson claims that either of the candidates, whether it is George Bush, or John Kerry, the first who grabs a slice of plaidberry pie will win the 2004 Presidential Election.

Dickson concludes, any candidate who says they are serious about running for President should start running to my door with a fork."
