The Martello technology combines the in-vacuum deposition and curing of organic materials with other conventional vacuum coating processes and is ideally suited for economically applying multiple coatings to flexible webs. It is especially suited for the manufacture of advanced organic light emitting diode (OLED) display components.
Fein-LineÂs principal, Dan Feinberg stated ÂWeÂre excited about adding this technology to our growing list of offerings and we look forward to being associated with InteliCoat and its motivated team. This technology can speed the adoption of advanced OLED displays through increased throughput and a lower cost manufacturing process.Â
According to Greg Williams, Vice President  Technology for InteliCoat, ÂWe believe the unique capabilities of the Martello technology are ideally suited for applying coatings that can improve the barrier properties of flexible films, which is one of the most challenging problems faced by those who seek to produce flexible displays based on OLED technology. Because of this, we look forward to our work with Fein-Line Associates to make this capability more broadly available in the industry.Â
