Dunn&Co. continues winning ways, snares two ADDYs® at AAF District Conference

In business less than a year, the ad agencys creative work will now compete for national awards

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (PRWEB) May 8, 2004 --Dunn&Co., an award-winning Tampa Bay ad agency that was founded less than a year ago, won two ADDY® awards at the American Advertising Federations 4th District Annual Conference over the weekend. The agencys award-winning work will now compete for national recognition.

Dunn&Co. won a Gold ADDY® award for an outdoor advertising campaign created for Firehouse Subs, a Jacksonville-based sandwich chain. It also won a Silver ADDY® award as an individual achievement for one of the outdoor boards in that campaign.

We are tremendously excited that our Firehouse Subs work continues to earn ADDY® awards, even as we compete at higher levels," said Troy Dunn, Dunn&Co.s founder and president.

Just two months ago, Dunn&Co. raised eyebrows throughout the Tampa Bay advertising community by winning 15 ADDYs®, including two Best of Bay Awards at the 2004 Tampa Bay Advertising Federations ADDY® Award Gala. Dunn&Co.s impressive performance included eight Silver ADDYs®, five Gold ADDYs® and two Best of Bay ADDYs®, which represent the highest possible achievement in a specific advertising category.

That work was created for Firehouse Subs and for Baxter Healthcare, Inc.

Dunn&Co. has faced stiff competition for the awards. In the Tampa Bay competition, Dunn&Co.s work was judged along with nearly 500 other entries from advertising agencies, design boutiques, in-house marketing departments and freelance creative talent throughout Tampa Bay. In the 4th District competition, Dunn&Cos work competed against more than 1,500 submissions, all of which had previously won awards at various local ADDY® events throughout Florida and the Caribbean.

Dunn&Co.s award-winning creative now moves on to the national awards competition, which will take place as part of the AAFs National Conference at the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex June 12-15.

Each fall the competition begins at the local level with the 210 AAF member clubs around the country. Entries must first be submitted in a local competition to be eligible for the ADDY® process. The local winners proceed to 14 regional competitions, and those winners proceed to the national finals. The winners demonstrate the uniqueness of the ADDY® Awards competition each year. Their work is significant in that it has not only received national honors, but it has been recognized at the local and regional levels as well.

Proceeds from the ADDY® Awards program, on all levels of competition, go back into the industry through the work of the AAF and its members, especially in the areas of advertising education and public service advertising.
