Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 9, 2004 --Aerial and panoramic imagery will take a major leap forward May 14-16 at Fort Mason, when the wireless, electric powered, Remote Piloted Vehicle (RPV) from SkyPan International makes its debut at Wired magazines NextFest (www.nextfest.net) This customized, lightweight mini-helicopter soars from one to 500 feet offering breathtaking 360-degree birds-eye-views never available using previous aerial photography methods.

Because these craft are smaller, lighter, and more agile than traditional copters, they can soar, dive, hover and glide in most any environment. Subjects such as delicate landscapes or residential environments that could be harmed by the strong winds from traditional copter blades at low levels can now be captured in dramatic and intimate video footage.

SkyPan partner, Jeff Jones, will pilot the RPV over the grounds of the festival as award-winning, advertising photographer and partner, Mark Segal, captures and downloads live-feeds of breathtaking still and video images- all in digital formats that can be readily and easily utilized in promotional materials. Commercial uses of the SkyPan imagery include real estate, golf, and resort area development. Segals imagery has already been used in dozens of blue chip companies advertising campaigns including Boeing, Motorola, Trump, Wilson Golf, Shell and Samsung.
