FTP java client to provide secure file transfers using FTPS and SFTP.

Unlimi-Tech Software Inc., a global provider of web-based file transfer solutions, today announced the release of UnlimitedFTP Secure. UnlimitedFTP Secure is a web-based FTP client that builds on the popular UnlimitedFTP applet to deliver secure file transfers. While still maintaining UnlimitedFTP’s accustomed ease of use, the new applet supports SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and SSH (Secure Shell) protocols to provide end-to-end security.

“Traditional FTP has a security issue because passwords are sent in clear text and data is transferred without any encryption. These can be easily intercepted by network sniffing programs,” said Chris Bailey, CEO of Unlimi-Tech Software. “However, using UnlimitedFTP Secure, both passwords and file transfers are protected using one of many supported secure protocols. This provides greater security without compromising ease-of-use.”

The addition of UnlimitedFTP Secure to the UnlimitedFTP applet family greatly extends the powerful and feature-rich offerings of Unlimi-Tech’s product line. The UnlimitedFTP applets are used worldwide by an estimated half a million end-users in various industries including financial institutions, governments, health-care, media publishing and educational institutions. Unlimi-Tech software also provides UnlimitedFTP Servlet, an add-on to make transfers firewall and proxy friendly. To learn more about Unlimi-Tech’s products visit http://www.unlimitedftp.ca
