Cascade Sky Entertainment Announces Grand Opening and Kick Off Party May 16, 2004

Cascade Sky Entertainment launches their production company in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Dan Yost, a successful screenwriter in Hollywood for 20 years, will head the company as Producer and Director.

(PRWEB) May 9, 2004 -- Cascade Sky Entertainment Announces Grand Opening and Kick Off Party May 16, 2004 (Portland, OR USA) Daniel Yost, Mike Minor, and Phaedra Pardue have launched a new production company in Portland, OR USA. Daniel Yost has been a successful screenwriter and director for 20 years in Hollywood and is best known for Drugstore Cowboy, which he co-wrote with Gus Van Sant. Yost will act as Producer and Director for the organization. Minor brings several years of business experience to the company and will act as Executive Producer and Director of Finance and Business Development. Pardue has been a working actress for the last 10 years. She combines her business experience in technology sales and passion for film into her role as Producer and Director of Project Development and Public Relations. Together they form Cascade Sky Entertainment, a production company based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Shooting Nick, Yosts latest film, will run for a week beginning Friday, May l4 at the newly-renovated Mt. Tabor Cinema, 4811 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland. Weekend showings are at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. and weekdays at 5 and 7 p.m. Shooting Nick will be Cascade Skys initial theatrical release. The general public is invited to a screening at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2004. The company will host an open invitation gala event for the local film industry and investors immediately following the screening at 8:45 p.m. Shooting Nick, filmed locally starring Robert Blanche, Sarah Rosenberg, Tyler Gannon and Yost, recently screened at the NY International Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Longbaugh Festival in Portland. Yost directed and photographed the production, which he produced with Blanche and edited with Justin Lowe.

The company already has its second project in pre-production. Capital funding and casting has begun for Remember The Flowers, a science fiction tale from the future year of 2269. An original screenplay by Yost, the film will star Phaedra and Sarah Rosenberg, and a to-be-named Hollywood leading man.
