Venice, CA (PRWEB) May 9, 2004 -- The vibrant and bold oil paintings of newcomer Jen Abel will be exhibited at an exclusive reception on Wednesday, May 12 from 4PM to 6PM at the Consortium Gallery located at 1100 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA. The art exhibit and reception will be videotaped and featured on FOXs upcoming, daily syndicated show Live Like A Star that begins airing nationally June 14, 2004.

Abels friend, Mike Chang, has nominated her to be surprised with a gallery opening fit for a star. Her artwork has sold briskly in restaurants, cafes and smaller art festivals around Southern California. This is the first time her artwork will be seen by a national audience.
Abels artwork is highly influenced by hip-hop, Reggae and soul music. Event planner to the stars, Laurie Bailey, has designed a reception complete with steel drums, Mediterranean Tapas, and luscious tropical fruit juice martinis.
