Charity event to benefit the Junenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Charity event to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to be held June 10-13, 2004 at River Ranch Resort on the Kissimmee River, Florida.

(PRWEB) May 11, 2004 --The Florida Airboat Association, in conjunction with Westgate-River Ranch Resort, is sponsoring its inaugural charity benefit NATIONAL AIRBOAT RODEO - JAMBOREE, to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The NATIONAL AIRBOAT RODEO -- JAMBOREE is scheduled for June 10-13, 2004 at River Ranch Resort, on the Kissimmee River, near Lake Wales, Florida.

The event will include a professional rodeo, live music, fishing tournaments, a poker run up and down Lake Kissimmee, a gar gigging contest, airboat races, skeet shooting contests, horseback riding, hay rides, a nightly bon fire and story telling sessions, vendor exhibits and demonstrations by the Florida Fish and Game Commission, the Polk County Sheriffs Dept. K-9 and Marine Patrol units, the Polk County Fire Department, Central Florida K-9 Search and Rescue, Birds of Prey Recovery Center, American Red Cross and Gator Guides of Tampa.

There will be raffles and contests throughout the event. All proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Fishing camps and resorts, on the shores of Lake Kissimmee, participating in the event include Thomas Landing, Camp Mack and Grape Hammock.
