New Organization designed to help reduce the search time for a child when they are reported missing or abducted looking for financial support.

First Response K9 Recovery has received acknowledgement and support from members of local, regional, and national law enforcement agencies as well as individuals and organization such as John Walsh and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for their unique canine network concept.

DENVER, NC (PRWEB) May 11, 2004 --First Response K9 Recovery is a startup organization that is in its infancy designed to assist in the recovery of missing/abducted children and assistance needed adults and reduce the time that they are missing, by providing acknowledged, trained scent specific canine (bloodhound) units at no cost to all forms of law enforcement agencies in need of this specialized service. With their affiliations with individuals such as John Walsh and organizations as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children they understand the importance of trained canine units for the purpose of child recovery.

It is very important that all forms of law enforcement agencies not be burdened with the organization of their officers as a search and recovery team, but have the opportunity to focus on the investigation of a missing/abducted child. Having access to an outside trained, qualified and trusted canine unit working with them in the search and recovery efforts of that missing child they can elevate their investigative techniques of their officers knowing that the search and recovery unit is working with them." stated Scott Davis of First Response K9 Recovery, We have laid the ground work and are working towards providing a 24 hour dispatch network for all forms of law enforcements agencies state and nationwide that has been trained, acknowledged and qualified in the specialization of child recovery and the knowledge of working as a special taskforce along side those agencies to assist them in bringing a child home safely."

First Response K9 Recovery is in the process of meeting with departments and agencies throughout the State of North Carolina to create a trusted relationship and to inform those departments of their services and their protocol as a special forces unit created to assist and work along side those departments in their time of need at no cost, to do this they turn to individuals, local businesses, corporations, grant awards and State and Federal funding to accomplish their goals.

First Response K9 Recovery is designed as a non profit organization and is in the process of filing for their 501(c)(3) status. They are currently working with governmental agencies to obtain state and federal funding, but during that process they are turning to private and corporate contributions to allow them to grow and expand their needed program.

They also are focusing on visiting elementary, and middle schools to talk with students on how to stay safe, the rules on how not to be abducted and what to do if they find themselves lost. They will visit these locations with their canines and in uniform as to excite and educate those children.

Currently the have received support from local company Best Uniforms and Blauer Safety equipment for their unit members uniforms, Canines for Kids Inc. for their unit member and canine training, West Virginia Signal and Light for their response lights, Maptech for their GPS and mapping software and are talking with a host of other companies that have shown interest in their program and focus, as well as have received acknowledgment and assistance from the office of Congresswoman Sue Myrick. They will also work with Canines for Kids Inc. to assist in the donation of scent specific canines to departments who wish to have their own canine.

They are also scheduled to appear on Americas Most Wanted with John Walsh in the near future which gives them a national marketing base for their supporters, contributors and sponsors, as well as show the nation that North Carolina is the pilot State to receive access to this network.
