Wizdom Systems, Inc.®, celebrating its 17th year as a leader in providing Business Process Reengineering (BPR) software, training, and solutions, today announced that it has joined the DoD Architecture Integration Pilot Project (AIPP) at the Pacific Architecture Conference 2004 (PAC2004) which will be held in conjunction with the Command Information Superiority Architectures World Wide conference (CISAWW) from 17 thru 20 may 2004. The CISAWW/PAC2004 is being jointly hosted by ASD/NII and USPACOM/J62

The purpose for the AIPP is to show that:

-Architectures built in conformance with the DoDAF specifications can begin to move from a product-centric to a data-centric environment

-Architecture data content can be captured in repositories built in accordance with the DoD Core Architecture Data Model (CADM) and be maintained uniformly in the DoD Architecture Repository System (DARS)

-XML can be exploited as the vehicle to exchange data with DARS and COTS architecting tools

Specifically, the AIPP will demonstrate that:

-DoDAF conformant architectures can be built using COTS tools (generate)

-Architecture products and data can be exported from COTS tools in CADM-XML form and stored in the DARS (export)

-COTS tools can import CADM XML files and visualize DoDAF conformant architecture products and data (import and visualize)

-Architecture data can be exchanged among tools without the need for intermediate translation or transformation (round trip exchange)

“As a pioneer in development of data exchange languages, Wizdom is proud to be part of this pilot and looking forward to the next steps”, said John Conway, Wizdom’s chief data base engineer.

Wizdom is basing its AIPP commitment on the introduction of WizdomWorks! ProcessWorks! 6.1 which it is introducing at CISA.

“It has been my goal for more than two decades to be able to exchange architecture components among and between various COTS products,” said Dennis E. Wisnosky, Wizdom founder. “We proved with the IDEF Data Language (IDL) that this is ultimately good for all of our customers – it is the right thing to do”.

Wizdom supports all of its products and services with intensive world class out of the box and customized training.
