Professor" Frank Vivirito Named Jury Foreman And Art Director On Same Day

Longtime game artist Professor" Frank Vivirito was named as a jury foreman and Art Director of Vision Videogames earlier this week. I was quite surprised at the honor, especially after blowing off an earlier jury duty date and having to be brought before the judge. I thought for sure I was going to jail that time", says Vivirito. Company work productivity increased as a result of his absence and he was in turn promoted.

(PRWEB) May 12, 2004 -- Longtime game artist Professor" Frank Vivirito was named as the jury foreman in a Harford County Maryland trial and Art Director of Vision Videogames earlier this week. I was surprised at the honor, especially after blowing off an earlier jury duty date and having to be brought before the judge. I thought for sure I was going to jail that time", says Vivirito. Instead, he was chosen to be a leader of a team of his peers. They really werent my peers. I had nothing in common with them except that I got forced into this community service thing too. Well, I guess we do have a lot in common after all." Vivirito had to alter his morning routine as well. He had to get up early and arrive at his destination in a timely fashion. Man, this time clock thing is rough. I dont believe people do it every day", commented Vivirito.

The civil trial entailed making monetary awards after an accident. The jury heard testimony for several hours. Man, they just kept going on and on about stuff like church and tomato plants. I had no idea what that had to do with anything", Vivirito reflected. Vivirito was not impressed with the expert witnesses testifying before the jury. However, he was impressed with how much money they were making. They get about $1,000.00 per hour. Im sitting here and getting $20.00 a day. That just doesnt seem right."

During deliberation, Vivirito demanded coffee from the Bailiff and commented, It was weak. I dont want to bust on anybody, but that coffee was crap! I had them remake it." Regarding the jurys decision, Vivirito feels that everyone pulled together to make the right decision. We all agreed to get the heck out of there after that bad coffee. They werent even going to buy us lunch, so that helped our decision go much, much faster." Overall, Vivirito believes, This person should have settled out of court. I could have used that time to work at home, cutting trees and just telling the office I was at jury duty."

His employer, Bill Mueller, President of Vision Videogames, feels that Frank was the right choice for the job. His long, intimate experience with the criminal justice system is finally being put to some positive community use," he reflected.

Frank has been with Vision Videogames since the company inception as GRS Games in 2001. Co-workers had mixed feelings about Vivirito being out of the office for two days. Fellow artist Neal OHara was glad for the peace and quite. I got a lot more work done without him sitting there. Hes a major distraction to the entire art department." Vice President of Operations, Victoria Kinnear felt differently. I know I should care about production and all that but Frank makes really good coffee. I had to resort to making my own when he was out." Others did not notice his absence. When team member Ted Staley was asked about Viviritos absence, he appeared confused and asked, Frank who?"

Generally speaking, Vivirito enjoyed his foreman experience and is considering taking it up as a hobby. I can sit around and tell people what I think and really make a difference. And I could use the extra money for cheap beer." He plans on telling his employer that he has jury duty at least four times a year.

After reviewing the progress of the entire staff while Vivirito was on jury duty, Bill Mueller appointed Vivirito as the new Art Director. You just cant argue with the amount of work that was done under his direction." Mueller continues, This is going to be great for everyone. If Frank were chosen for a long murder trial and maybe even sequestered, who knows what the team could accomplish. Its a shame he cant be chosen for jury duty more than once a year."
