The story is set in 2003, Philadelphia, PA, where Jacy is getting to know a man named Rich Wilkins, who could only be described as a street thug. "I feel very close to THUGS, because the story is one that I can relate to in my own life. I've dated thugs myself, so I can identify with the drama but also with the excitement of my book," says J.Gail, a Philadelphia area resident and college graduate.

"Because they want to do exactly the opposite of what theyve been taught as little girls." the bright young author affirms. "And they dont like to be bored with the men they date."
