Healthmark Multimedia Launches Evaluation Of Web Site For Persons With Osteoarthritis
A personalized Stages of Change web site helps persons with osteoarthritis self-manage their disease
(PRWEB) May 12, 2004 -- HealthMark Multimedia has completed a prototype web site for persons with osteoarthritis, My Arthritis Manager. This web site uses the well-tested Stages of Change model for behavior change to help users incorporate self-management of osteoarthritis into their daily lives. The site, www.myarthritismanager.com, was developed with funding from the National Institute of Arthritis & Musculoskeletal & Skin Diseases. The web site has interactive tools and graphic, text and audio information about self-management of osteoarthritis.
As part of an ongoing corporate strategy, HealthMark is conducting a national evaluation of the prototype web site. This evaluation will entail use of the prototype by 100 people, over the age of 35 with osteoarthritis. Each person will use the site for one month and give feedback.
Persons with osteoarthritis who are interested in participating should go to www.HealthMarkMultimedia.com, Web Site Testers Needed". They will be directed to a short survey and then to the testing web site. After 1 month, each participant will be emailed a link to a posttest to give feedback on what they liked and disliked about the site. Once a posttest questionnaire is complete, the participant will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $250 prizes. This evaluation will close after 100 participants have completed the posttest.
