Matthew Paweski confronts consumers and asks them to consider the items that they purchase. His new show Topical highlights product design and packaging. Paweski formed his own company, Mpaweski to parallel business structure.
(PRWEB) May 12, 2004 --The artists business identity Mpaweski mirrors the consumer's experience at a big box retailer. Paweski condenses the complexity of the Superstore" into a 1200 square foot gallery space equipped with product displays, shelved items, advertisements, and promotional sets. Bottles, towels, and soap, the exhibition challenges the viewer to examine and appreciate the design quality and these everyday items.
Matthew Paweski is an artist who has been working along side designer and entrepreneur William Prokes for the last two years. After Paweski started the 108 Studio, he began to work with Prokes and gained the knowledge and experience of understanding the structure of business. This exposure to commercial design and fabrication has allowed Paweski to further his interest in these fields and create his body of work.
Prokes Design is proud to present the installation Topical, at the Locus Studio. The opening reception will be on the First Fridays route June 4, 2004 from 7-10 pm.
