New Service Helps Bands Find Gigs
MatchGig Band, DJ and Club Booking Network announced this week it has launched it's Geo-Venue search and press kit submission system. The service is designed to help bands and djs easily locate and submit to venues within their immediate area.
Madison, WI (PRWEB) May 13, 2004 -- Do most bands know all the places that book live music within 100 miles of where theyre standing?
Usually, the answer is no".
But MatchGig does.
This week the company launched an online service that allows artists to get a list of venues that book live music based on their desired traveling range. Members of the MatchGig website can input their zip code and how many miles theyd be willing to travel for a gig and get a list drawn from a directory of over 6,500 venues nationwide.
The venue lists include each venues name, address, and contact information.
If a member artist wishes to submit a media kit to a particular venue, they can do so with one click. MatchGig will ship a CDROM version of their stored media kit to the venue.
The company expects the service will catch on quickly with musicians.
There are other sites which have venue directories, but none has the ability to search them geographically," said MatchGig president David Eastbrook. the MatchGig service is a lot more useful for working artists than anything currently available."
