Angenous Enhances Motino and Leads Anti-Spam Filter Industry With the Most Powerful Spam Filtering Solution Available

With Motino 2.0 Release, Angenous Enhances Adaptive Filtering Software and Enables Corporate Users To Easily Administer Updates

PALO ALTO, CA (PRWEB) May 14, 2004 --- Angenous today announced Motino 2.0, the latest release of its next-generation anti-spam software. Building on a decade of research at Stanford University, the company pioneered anti-spam filtering by creating highly effective software that learns" or adapts based upon an individual users email preferences versus relying upon static lists to filter out spam. With the 2.0 release, Motino now includes customizable, enhanced filtering and management features such as support for approved and blocked senders, multiple scan methods and customizable software update tool for corporate users.

Spam Filters Save Users and Businesses Time

A recent study suggested that there is so much junk mail on the Internet that almost one-third of e-mail users have cut back on their e-mailing because of spam. Electronic junk mail, nicknamed spam, invades e-mail inboxes at staggering rates. In the past year, the average American spent 15 hours deleting e-mail, compared to two hours in 2002.

Most experts now agree that using spam filtering software that uses both list oriented and adaptive filtering can help both individual users and businesses save time and valuable resources. Because spammers are constantly changing their techniques, we early on developed an adaptive filter that learns and gets more effective over time," said Dr. Frederick Giarrusso, CEO of Angenous. With the 2.0 release, Motino now includes customizable filters to screen out even more spam as well as management features to help businesses easily update and support our product in networked environment."
