27TH Annual Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic

(PRWEB) May 15, 2004 --Participants in the 27th Annual Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic will be able to test their skills against 16 blind golfers, when these best of the best" US Blind Golf Association (USBGA) tournament players come to New York to play in the Classic. The two-day event will be held on Sunday, June 13 and Monday, June 14 at Mt. Kisco and Whippoorwill Country Clubs in Westchester County. This event, hosted by Karl Ravech of ESPN, spotlights the talents of the blind golfers and their coaches who hail from all over the United States and Canada.

Shotgun start at both Mt. Kisco Country Club, Mt. Kisco, NY and Whippoorwill Club, Armonk, NY (both 1 hour from NYC)

Participants play 18 holes of golf and have an opportunity to meet and play with 2-3 blind golfers during the day. Individual golfers pay $1,000 to participate which includes green fee, cart, cocktail reception, awards dinner, prizes, gift bag and acknowledgement in the journal. Celebration dinner on Monday evening. Chance to win Mini Cooper Convertible. Only 850 raffle tickets available!

The Classic is the largest fundraiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, one of the leading guide dog training schools in the country, and has raised over $6 million for this non-profit organization. Guiding Eyes receives no government support, relying instead upon the outstanding generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, civic groups, and their two major annual fundraisers.
