Digital divide in Africa (Abuja Nigeria)

(PRWEB) May 16, 2004 -- Nigeria is known around the world these days for the Infamous 419
scam e-mail letters. Most legitimate Internet initiatives for this region suffer, not only from infrastructure problems but also from the negative impact caused by the activities of a minority of people.

Despite this digital divide, progressive measures are being initiated in the country to address ICT.

This year, the third annual Digital Bridge Africa will be held on June 23-26 , in Abuja city, Nigeria.

This conference will bring together decision makers from the private sector, academia, government and non-profit organizations to consider the necessary steps to reach inclusion and advancement for Africa with particular focus on the transforming power of ICT
