Fashion Group International, a global non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of fashion and design professionals, identifies Sophia Forero as an Âinnovator, a creator, a visionary and a formidable talent in the fashion and design industries.Â
Sophia Forero creates fine jewelry using semi-precious stones and silver accents. She designs and produces accessories that are symbols of values, beliefs, and achievement. ÂI approach each piece as a window to a womanÂs spirit, Sophia explains. ÂSparkle uncovers elegance, elegance unveils inner beauty, and inner beauty reflects personal peace.Â
In 2002, Sophia won the Marshall Fields Distinction in Design award, placing first over hundreds of designers. Her jewelry is worn by actresses Holly Hunter, Juliette Lewis, Mariel Hemingway, Kathryn Morris, Nia Vardalos and Keiko Agena. SophiaÂs pieces will appear in Steve MartinÂs upcoming film, Shop Girl.
