The African Diaspora Foundation Announces Launch Of Their New Website

The African Diaspora Foundation (ADF), a non-profit organization, has announced the launch of their new website at http://www.theadf.com design by Chita Obasi, an ADF program director.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 20, 2004 --Visitors to http://www.theadf.com will find information concerning the organizations peace initiatives and programs including the establishment of a peace education library in South Africa, a peace conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a peace benefit concert in Los Angeles. With a strategic plan to develop lasting programs and solutions in communities stymied by conflict and violence, ADF will partner with UCLA and other institutions of higher education to develop a peace curriculum and institutes where students from the U.S. and Africa will receive instruction on how to teach and introduce a peace curriculum in African schools. "Just as colonialists were able to use the classroom to teach African people English, French, and Spanish, so we believe the classroom can be used again to plant seeds that will harvest a new dynamic of thinking and living in Africa", said ADF president Agrippa Ezozo.

The new website, http://www.theadf.com, provides a means for visitors to make secure, tax deductible, online donations to assist ADF in
advancing its mission to promote peace in Africa through education.

About the African Diaspora Foundation:
The African Diaspora Foundation (ADF) is committed to develop a coalition of national and international leaders and organizations to address critical issues concerning peace, nonviolence, and reconciliation in Africa and throughout the world. As a non-profit organization, ADF has proposed in partnership with the James S. Coleman African Studies Center at UCLA to develop a peace studies activity that will assist in overcoming issues that threaten human development affected by conflict. ADF's plan is for this model to become an international force in preparing educators for work as peacemakers to advance peace education, nonviolence and reconciliation.
