Land-Grant College Review Releases Issue No. Two, Celebrates With Free Alcohol & Attractions
LGCR, the exciting new literary magazine, releases its much anticipated second issue. Celebration to follow.
(PRWEB) May 21, 2004 -- The Land-Grant College Review, which was recently nominated by the editors of the Utne Reader for an Independent Press Award in the category of Best New Title, is proud to announce the release of its second issue. Issue No. Two features stories by Jeffery Renard Allen (Rails Under My Back), Arthur Bradford (Dogwalker), Alan Cheuse (author and book critic for NPRs All Things Considered), Jonathan Goldstein (author of Lenny Bruce Is Dead and producer for PRIs This American Life), Nelly Reifler (See Through), and others.
On Saturday, May 22nd at the NEST, in DUMBO, Brooklyn, Ode to Go will host the LGCRs biggest event yet-the launch party for its long anticipated second issue. Featuring free alcohol, cigarettes and attractions, as well as an antic live performance by Langhorne Slim, who recently shared the stage with the likes of Sonic Youth, James Brown, and Neil Young. Admission is $5. Thats a lot of entertainment for just five dollars."
