WellPoint CEO Leonard Schaeffer to Receive First Leadership in Innovation" Award ABL Organization to Honor Healthcares Innovators at Sixth Annual Awards and Event

The first-ever Leadership in Innovation" Award will be presented to Leonard Schaeffer, Chairman and CEO of WellPoint, by the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization, on June 16th in Newport Beach, California, as ABL hosts its 6th Annual Innovations in HealthcareSM Awards and Event. This event showcases California companies and products that were selected by ABLs Technology Advisory Board from an array of organizations nominated for their innovative medical products, systems, processes and services designed to improve healthcare outcomes, while reducing the cost of providing quality care. Three of these honorees will be selected at the June 16th event to receive Platinum, Gold and Silver Abby" Awards.

Selected by BusinessWeek magazine as one of the "Top 25 Managers of the Year" and by Worth magazine as one of the "50 Best CEOs in America," Schaeffer will headline the ABL event that honors Californias innovators who are dramatically improving the way healthcare is delivered.
