Axminister Networks Joins Fight to Oust Eisner; Gonzo the Great Suggested
Another high profile company joins SaveDisney.com's fight to oust Michael Eisner from his CEO position.
(PRWEB) May 23, 2004 --Axminister Networks, a rising star in the field of multimedia and web hosting, announced today that they were joining the fight to oust Eisner.
While a popular sport in the past, Eisner Ousting came to the mainstream when Roy E. Disney, nephew of company founder Walter Elias Disney and son of co-founder Roy O. Disney, was fired from his position at the company for being "too old" and opened up SaveDisney.com.
Axminister Networks' announcement came as a shock to all because of its lateness. Most Eisner Ousters announced that they were enlisting in the SaveDisney.com Army before the historic three-hour long Annual Shareholder's Meeting in Philledelphia, PA. The lateness, according to a source that wishes to remain anonymous, was due to a very careful consideration of who they'd like to replace Eisner after SaveDisney.com succeeds in their quest when Eisner retires in late 2006.
Among their choices include a clone of Walt Disney, Pixar owner and Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Pixar's John Lasseter, and Gonzo the Great. "Gonzo is the heart and soul of what the Disney company stands for. He's almost like Mickey Mouse, except really funny. He has a huge heart, he's fearless, and he loves chickens. Who doesn't love chickens?" reports Timothy Crabtree, a manager and spokesperson for Axminister Networks. Although, according to legend, at the infamous presentation for Chanticleer, which ended the animation career of Marc Davis, the line that ended the meeting was, "Who could love a chicken?"
Mr. the Great was not available for comment.
