Cynthia McKinney Wins Georgia AFL-CIO Endorsement

(Decatur, GA) The 200,000 member federation of Georgia State AFL-CIO unions has endorsed former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney in the race for Georgia's 4th Congressional District. President Ray stated, "Certainly she is our friend in Congress. She has consistently voted for issues that affect working people."

(Decatur, GA) The 200,000 member federation of Georgia State AFL-CIO unions has endorsed former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney in the race for Georgia's 4th Congressional District. The endorsement came after the organization met Thursday in Atlanta for a screening of candidates. McKinney was warmly received by both the screening committee and union leaders.

President Ray stated, "Certainly she is our friend in Congress. She has consistently voted for issues that affect working people."

McKinney says "This Labor endorsement is an important boost to our campaign. With the vast resources from it we are positioned squarely for the July 20, Primary Election."
