Shaffer's High Sierra Camp offers Mom's Camp. A chance for moms to get away from it all and experience the magic of summer camp, without the kids!

Novato, CA (PRWEB) May 25, 2004 -- For one weekend in mid-August (August 13th-15th, 2004,) a children's summer camp in Northern California will be all grown up. While millions of parents see the benefits of a camp experience through their children, moms who want to truly get in touch with their inner camper can spend 3 days at Shaffer's High Sierra Camp in the Tahoe National Forest, 45 minutes north of Truckee. Scott and Lisa Shaffer opened their camp in 2000 and welcome up to 60 kids to camp each session. But they quickly saw the potential for their non-competitive wilderness adventure program to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for busy moms. Among the many activities planned are two that the Shaffers feel define their Mom's Camp. On the first day of the weekend, Moms are invited to participate in a team building challenge. The second activity in which all Moms participate is a session with life coach Barbara Cochran.
