GridNode announces availability of schema-based solutions for next generation RosettaNet Partner Interface Process (PIPs®)

business integration software, today announced that ELKO Group, the leading computer components and solutions distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, has selected GridNode as its strategic inter-enterprise communications backbone. By automating its business processes with GridNode’s solutions, ELKO expects to improve overall operational visibility internally and with its business partners.

ELKO Group leveraged GridNode’s GridTalk for RosettaNet communications software primarily to improve point of sales information flow with its trading partners. Point of sales information, which was previously exchanged on a weekly basis, can now more easily be exchanged on a daily or even real-time basis if desired. Business benefits include more accurate and timely information, at a fraction of what it used to cost for ELKO to exchange weekly reports over EDI.

ELKO is also able to leverage RosettaNet standardized business processes for value added supply chain services to their customers on behalf of the OEM manufacturers. Technical benefits of the new RosettaNet standards-compliant solution, which supports schema-based messaging, include the flexibility and scalability to plug-and-automate processes easily with extensive RosettaNet trading partner communities. In addition, this direct end-to-end solution supports international transliteration and is not encumbered by information brokers and transmission bottlenecks.

The implementation also leverages the next-generation RosettaNet Partner Interface Process® (PIP®) for Sales Reporting, PIP 4E1, which provides both human and machine-readable interfaces for exception management and straight-through processing.
