MANHATTAN, NY Â June 6th, 2004 Â New pop sensation Adam Barta will be giving an exclusive performance at ManhattanÂs newest hot spot, Spirit, on Friday, June 18th and headlining the gay pride extravaganza the following Friday, June 25th. Doors will open at 10pm and Adam will be performing at midnight. The dubbed Âpop moppetÂ will be performing his hit single I Told Her as well as his much hyped new dance track Dirty Girls, among others. Kurfew Entertainment will be presenting the event with Dorian Davis from MTV Hits as the emcee. The choreographer for the event is noted author and dancer, Jason Bergund, who is expected to appear with Cinematherapy creator Beverly West. Adam is a Bronx native, partially notable for his film and television roles. He has co-starred with Latina superstar Tessie Santiago, Mario Cantone, Jeff Probst and Amy Sedaris, among others. Additionally he starred in the off-Broadway cult hit Befriending Beau and along side Baby Jane Dexter and Kristy Cates in Mad About the Boy. Breaking out into the pop music scene in 2004, his single I Told Her has been on the airwaves in the US and Europe. Kurfew was founded in the 90Âs by Jeff Brenner and has become AmericaÂs largest young gay dance party. Kurfew transcends the lines between gay and straight. Spirit contains 10,000-square-foot auditorium and performance space that seats 600 with standing room for 1,200 surrounded by the mezzanine level, which seats an additional 250 people. It has rapidly become one of New YorkÂs hottest nightclubs. You must be 18 for admission.
