HI-POD Gets Exclusive "American Idol" Footage
HI-POD towers above the press at the KODAK Theater for the "American Idol" 3rd season finale.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) May 28, 2004 -- When the KODAK Theater hosted the season finale for "American Idol", HI-PODs were there to capture shots from perspectives that were virtually impossible to obtain. Going where no crane has gone before, the HI-POD comfortably moved in and out of tight crowds to get shots of arrriving celebrities like Jasmine Trias, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Amy Yasbeck, Jennifer Hudson, John Stevens and of course Simon Cowell.
Tight spaces like a staircase are very difficult for a crane to manuever, but by placing the HI-POD next to the staircase at the entrance of the KODAK Theater, the HI-POD was able to obtain beautiful footage of "American Idol" celebrities and guests as they ascended the stairs into the event.
The HI-POD's speed, mobility, and altitude also helped HI-POD operator Billy Barrera get great backstage perspectives of "American Idol" performers. Barrera said, "When photographers realize that you can use still or video cameras with the HI-POD, its over. HI-PODs will be everywhere."
