Election 2004 BNP. Use your vote or they will on European and local elections to be held on the June 10th 2004
This leaflet is to alert our Muslim communities to the threat posed by the far right in the forthcoming European and local elections to be held on the June 10th 2004
(PRWEB) May 29, 2004 --In the current climate there is huge disillusionment within our communities, towards the political system and representatives. As a consequence, may feel that voting is a waste of time.
The recent war on Iraq is just one example of where the government and many MP's have completely ignored the concerns and sentiments of the majority of our communities.
However we are now faced with a dilemma. Either the Muslims community engages in the political process or allow the far right to fill the vacuum and begin to shape the future of Britain.
Only 5% of the vote in London guarantees these fascist parties a seat in London government 8% in the European elections gives them a member of the European parliament.
Currently the aim of the far right is to create an all white British society based on racism, fear and hatred towards Muslims, black communities, refugees and asylum seekers.
In Europe, far right parties have made significant inroads in getting political representation, so much so that mainstream parties are adopting these views such as in France with the government banning Muslim women from wearing headscarves. In Britain even though members of these parties include convicted racist and criminals, they now have 17 local councillors. In recent local election the far right have polled an average of 17% in wards they have contested and 20% in by-election
Success for the far right means massive increase in racist attacks. In Burnley such attacks went up by 149% between April 2000 and March 2001. In Tower Hamlets when the far right won a seat in 1993 attacks increased locally by 300%.
The ultimate aim of the far right is to create an all white Britain. This can only be achieved by forced repatriation.
The far right is exploiting concerns over terrorism into anti-Muslim sentiment.
The far right has won most of its seats in areas with sizable Muslim communities and are continuing to target these areas with their racist propaganda.
ON JUNE 10TH USE YOUR VOTE!!
