Marty Ingels Joins Celebrity Speakers Phyliss Diller, Lonie Anderson and Angie Dickinsin at Bob Hope Post Office Dedication
Burbank, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2004 --Marty Ingels, well known Hollywood coedian, producer, and radio personality has been added to the speaker's program of the official dedication of the Burbank Downtown Post Office for the memory of Bob Hope. Ingels has been a friend of the Hopes for many years well as an advocate of Dolores Hope's singing career. She has been a guest on Ingel's radio show in Los Angeles. Ingels is also married to Oscar winning actress Shirley Jones who is currently starring on Broadway in the musical "42nd Street" and because of this will not be in attendance with him.
When contacted, Ingels commented, "So now we've got a Bob Hope Post Office. That makes twelve golf courses, 6 hospitals, 4 schools, 2 zoos, and one post office." The raspy-voiced funnyman continued, "...and poor Dolores never gets anything named after her. Seems to me, if Hope now has a federal post office, the least they could do is get an Unemployment Office for Dolores."
Other celebrities and VIPS scheduled to speak include US Representitive Adam Schiff (D-CA), Burbank Mayor Marsha Ramos, Dolores Hope and the Hope family, Postmaster Carla Wolff, actresses Lonie Anderson, Phyliss Dillers, and Angie Dickinson.
In a press release issued by the US Postal Service,
