RateItAll Among Most Objective Feedback Mechanisms on the Internet

RateItAll.com is among the most objective consumer feedback networks on the Web, according to a recent study into online customer feedback mechanisms.

(PRWEB) May 30, 2004 -- RateItAll.com is among the most objective consumer feedback networks on the Web, according to a recent study into online customer feedback mechanisms led by Robin Peterson, Wells Fargo Distinguished Professor of Marketing at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, and published by the American Marketing Association.

Leading consumer feedback Web sites were evaluated based on various criteria designed to determine their relative objectivity. The three primary criteria used in the study were: 1) Customers should be allowed to rate and review online companies based on their own dissatisfied and satisfied experience; 2) the forum or Web site should have a large number of customer reviews written by a diversified group of participants in order to reduce biases; and 3) reviewers should be registered and authorized to post their messages for evaluation by peer customers.

Web sites evaluated in the study included RateItAll, Bizrate.com, Complaints.com, Computingreview.com, Consumeraffairs.com, Consumerreview.com, Deja.com, Epinions.com, and Gomez.com.

Of this sample, only RateItAll, Epinions.com, and Gomez.com met the studys objectivity requirements.
