Sidi Muhammad will be teaching at the Midwest Sufi Gathering of Shadhilyya Sufi's on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. His message will be directed towards people who want to develop greater peace and contentment in their lives through the practice of Islamic Sufism.
Sufism is an anxient mystical spiritual path that has its roots in Islam. Sufism is widely considered to be the "heart of Islam."

Sidi Muhammad al-Jamal is a revered Islamic Sheikh from Jerusalem. He is a teacher at the famed, Mosque of al-Aqsa, the third holiest site of Islam. Located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the Mosque is a frequent site of political and religious demonstrations.
As a public figure, Sidi Muhammad is widely known throughout the holy land. At the traditional friday prayer service in Jerusalem, as many as 200,000 people will come to listen to Sidis sermons. When Pope John Paul the Second, visted Jerusalem in 2000, Sidi Muhammad was one of the Islamic Clerics that met with Pope John Paul to discuss improved inter-religious dialogue between Muslims and Christians. Sidi is a former Islamic Judge from Palestine. He is also an Islamic Scholar and the author of more than fourteen books.
