Documentary Film to Showcase Last Male American Weightlifter to Win Olympic Gold.
Film to take in depth look at the life and times of a World Champion.
Elyria, OH (PRWEB) June 3, 2004 -- Lucid Vision Entertainment has begun principle photography on "The Chuck Vinci Story." Vinci, now 71, is the last American male to win an Olympic weightlifting championship.
Known to his family and friends as "Mighty Mouse," Chuck Vinci won the 123-pound bantamweight championships in the 1956 and 1960 games. "Chuck Vinci may only be 4'11", but his story is larger than life," explains Director, Eric Stuyvesant. "Here's a guy, that by all accounts, succeeded on sheer enthusiasm, dedication, and persistence. He's the embodiment of the American Dream. He personifies the Olympic spirit."
While the film will document Vinci's past accomplishments, it will also focus on his present goals in the world of arm wrestling. Nearly a half-century after winning his first gold medal Vinci still thrives on physical competition. "Put me in a ring and I'll go twelve rounds with anyone," Vinci claims with all seriousness, "I don't feel a day over thirty-five."
"We know we're on a short runway," says Producer, Christine Pratt, "but we intend to have this ready and available to a network seeking original programming during the summer Olympics. We're going about things the same way that Chuck does: On a wing and a prayer, with pure determination and a huge leap of faith we're expecting nothing less than the best."
Lucid Vision Entertainment is an Independent Production Company dedicated to bringing quality programming to any number of mediums.
