Showcall Inc. a technical event production company based in Maryland selected as the primary provider of lighting, audio and video production services for the annual G8 Summit, being held on Sea Island and Savannah, GA.
President Bush, Chairman of the 2004 G8 Summit, will host the 30th G8 Summit at Sea Island, Georgia on June 6-10, 2004. The G8 Summit brings together the Leaders of the world's major industrial democracies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States. The European Union also attend the G8 Summit, represented by the President of the European Commission and the Leader of the country holding the Presidency of the European Council. At previous Summits, Leaders have discussed a wide range of international economic, political, and security issues.
ShowcallÂs experience with high profile events and familiarity with working with US and Foreign security agencies played a vital role in their winning a highly competitive bid. They will be tasked with providing a wide variety of production elements, including broadcast lighting and audio reinforcement for multiple press briefing rooms throughout the International Media Center (IMC), informational kiosks linked to a central video control system and live network and Summit video and audio feeds to the IMC filing area. A/V operations in the Media Center, located in the Savannah Convention Center, will operate around the clock during the Summit. National and International Press Corps are expected to begin arriving as early as June 2nd, 2004.
