Shipping Now! DVDO(R) PrecisionSDI(TM) Video Input Module and iScan(TM) HD V3.4-1.08 Software Upgrade

Anchor Bay Technologies, Inc. announced today that the company has begun first customer shipments of the new DVDO PrecisionSDI Video Input Module. Also, the company has made available for download the first iScan HD software upgrade, incorporating new features and enhanced performance.

Campbell, CA (PRWEB) June 3, 2004 --The Serial Digital Interface (SDI) standard is used by professional broadcast studios and video production centers. The advantage of SDI is that the decompressed digital video data is transmitted directly from a digital source, such as a DVD player or satellite receiver, into the iScan HD when upgraded with this SDI input module. The video signal remains in the digital domain, avoiding quality-degrading digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversion steps, and thereby retaining the best possible picture clarity.

The PrecisionSDI Video Input Module takes this pure digital signal, and the iScan HD converts it to any output resolution between 480p and 1080p.

The iScan HD V3.4-1.08 software includes new features as additional test patterns, power LED controls, VCR mode, Film mode support, and PAL-M support. The software upgrade provides enhancements with improved DVI input reliability, information screen, and doubled maximum border range.
The iScan HD can be updated using a PC with a serial port. A serial port terminal program is provided for supporting the upgrade, along with the iSCan HD software upgrade itself at http://www.dvdo.com/update/index.html.
