The Family Digest Awards are a recognition and celebration of those whose actions empower the family -- with particular emphasis on the Black family. We honor grassroots folks, celebrities, activists, organizations, and media & advertising. 2004 FAMMIES" winners will be honored at a breakfast held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV on July 3rd during Family Digest Magazines Bid Whist World Championship & Family Fun Weekend.

The Family Digest Awards are a recognition and celebration of those whose actions empower the family -- with particular emphasis on the Black family. We honor grassroots folks, celebrities, activists, organizations, and media & advertising.

2004 FAMMIES" winners will be honored at a breakfast held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV on July 3rd during Family Digest Magazines Bid Whist World Championship & Family Fun Weekend. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor these outstanding individuals and organizations for the work they do to make our communities better for today and for the tomorrows to come," said Darryl L. The ten (10) Family Digest Awards honorees for 2004 are:

Rejoice Foster Care and Adoption Agency
Honored for successful efforts to find families to adopt Black children in need of a loving home.

J.P. Morgan Chase
Honored for the advertising campaign, The Right Relationship is Everything. This series of ads titled Jump Rope, Sleeping Girl and Dock, speak to the multigenerational aspirations as seen through the eyes of African American grandparents, parents and their children.

Judge Mablean Ephriam
Honored as founder of the Mablean Ephriam Foundation and creator of the Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards. The Honoring Unsung Fathers Awards identifies and recognizes fathers who accept responsibility for their children and play a vital role in the development of their lives.

American Family Insurance
Honored for commissioning the creation of an oil painting of A. Philip Randolph, a civil rights leader and labor pioneer who founded the nations first successful Black trade union, the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters.

Mr. Robert Townsend, Mr. Andre Braugher, Mr. Mario Van Peebles, Mr. Charles S. Dutton, Ms. Carla Brothers, Mr. Brock Peters-
Honored for 10,000 Black Men Named George, the movie that told the nearly forgotten story of A. Philip Randolph and the Pullman Porters.
