Youth sports are wildly popular in the USA. New book guides parents on how to keep their children safe from injury.

Millions of American kids play youth sports everyday and some of them get hurt. Injuries range from the mild to the severe and tragic. Most parents dont have the information at their hands to know what to do if and when an injury should happen to their child. TK Sports Training Inc. has consulted with top professionals in the sports medicine field to compile a valuable resource book aimed at parents of young athletes.

(PRWEB) June 5, 2004 --"Sports Medicine for Parents of Youth Athletes- how to treat and prevent sports injuries in young athletes" is written to help parents who may not know what they can do to help prevent injury to their child, how to treat it if they do get injured, how to be proactive with their team/coach to have a safe playing experience, and how to deal with doctors. This book was written by sports medicine professionals who are actively involved in youth sports and who have a deep concern for athletic safety.

This is a great idea. I have coached youth soccer for several years and I know that I have not always been prepared should something happen on the field. I have had two knee surgeries so I know how important it is to have good information in order to recover. I hope that all the parents on my team can get this book right away." Steve Bitker, soccer coach.

In our competitive soccer program we have some very good teams who compete at very high levels. However we have a duty to help them to be safe and proactive with regard to injury prevention. This book is going to help us build our safety program in our club." John McManis, Bay Oaks Soccer.

Using the flexibility of the Internet in order to deliver the book in electronic format allows individuals or organizations to easily access this book as well as distribute it to the members of their league. The book can also easily be updated and expanded with new information as it becomes available,

Hall of Fame athletic trainer Jack Rockwell, Golden State Warriors basketball team athletic trainer Tom Abdenour, and Carlos Arriaga of Bishop O'Dowd High School are just some of the top notch professionals who contributed to the book.

Sports Medicine for Parents of Youth Athletes is available now. Parents of youth athletes can now access this guidebook for themselves or through their league and gain valuable information on protecting their children who compete in youth sports of all kinds.
