(PRWEB) June 7, 2004 --Commercial Launch of Zafari Mobile from Cutting the Wires Ltd

Fully customisable graphical user interface provides seamless connectivity to all networks, over all modems, in any location and enables easy management of key Web and corporate applications on one platform, to truly mobilize the enterprise

8th June 2004 Amsterdam, Netherlands & Baltimore, USA: Mobile solutions provider Cutting the Wires today launches Zafari Mobile Professional, the most advanced and intuitive, network and device-independent connection and application management interface for laptop computers.

Cutting the Wires and the Wi-Fi Alliance are also pleased to announce that Zafari Mobile is the first product to integrate the Wi-FiZone hotspot locator portal.

Cutting the Wires specialises in developing mobile solutions, implementing end-to-end data solutions and mobile data telecoms consulting. Cutting the Wires mission is to mobilize the primary data device of choice: the laptop computer. Enterprises have been slow to adopt and deploy wireless mobility solutions over the past few years, while the mobile operators and service providers driving the technology have displayed little understanding of the requirements of Enterprise IT Managers.

Fixed operators and ISPs have successfully delivered remote access solutions to the Enterprise for many years and coming from a data-centric, solution-led perspective, have understood the critical decision-making factors for IT Managers such as: security, support costs, ROI, productivity improvements & cost and ease of deployment.

Zafari Mobile is a unique graphical user interface (GUI) for all networks (Ethernet, dial-up, LAN, WiFi, GPRS, 3G) and all types of modems. The GUI is specifically designed for laptops to provide seamless connectivity to all networks, over all modems, irrespective of location. Zafari Mobile creates a simple, intuitive bridge between modem devices, network bearers and existing user applications.

Cutting the Wires has tested Zafari Mobile Professional with a number of major telecom operators, device manufacturers and Enterprises in the UK and USA. Working with companies like Telstra UK, Cisco Systems, Lucent Technologies, Intel, Sony Ericsson, Option Wireless and Sierra Wireless to ensure that the commercial product launch meets the requirements of both Enterprises and Service Providers. Details of this process will become public over the next few weeks, together with information about major contracts struck with international telcos and Enterprise customers in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the USA.
