Missing People Sponsors get Award from Case Watchers
Case Watchers, a trial news website, is pleased to announce six new awards being given to those willing to sponsor a Missing Person" page.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 8, 2004 --Already this year, there have been over 79,000 people reported missing. Normally when a person disappears, the case is carried in the local press, search teams are organized and flyers go up all over town. But when the flurry of activity is over, the name of the missing person fades from memory. Nevertheless, they are still missing. Such is the case even more often, when the missing person is an adult instead of a child.
In April, 2004, Case Watchers was asked to build a missing person page for a family who didnt have access to a computer. We quickly agreed, building both a page and a printable poster. Since that time, ten more pages and posters have been added, bring the number to eleven, with an additional page for a list of the missing who have pages on other sites. The number of hits on these pages has been heartwarming.
One can never do enough, so now we hope to bring still more awareness to the plight of these families by giving awards to those who place a Missing Person" link on their homepage. In return, we will put a sponsor link on the missing persons page. The number of sponsors is unlimited and no monetary contribution is requested-just people helping people.
This month, Case Watchers Award recipients are all authors. They are: Henry Custer, Lynn Barry, Josh Stafford, Liz Rohloff, Renee Bradley, and Joan DeMarle-Oberlin.
Case Watchers is the creation of Marti Talbot, author of, Colorado Cold Case -- the Botham/Miracle Murders." The missing people profiled on Case Watchers are: Maura Murray, Michael Allen Jarvi, Jerry Strege, Suzanne Lyall, Timothy Young, Audrey Herron, Kelli Ann Cox, Shalyn Caraballo, Kent Jacobs, Jason Jolkowski , and Joanna Rogers. It takes so little to give hope to hurting families.
