Ogden, UT (PRWEB) June 8, 2004 -- New Association For Anyone Building a Home

A new tool for people building a home doesnt require a contractor.

Several local businessmen recently formed the United Owner Builder Association. The UOBAs

Thrust includes; increase buying power, save thousands of dollars and educate members when

building a home. The membership covers preferred suppliers who honor low prices, handpicked

sub-contractors and more.

We have preferred subs that meet our stringent quality standards, that we recommend to members," said Mike Howard, CEO.

The UOBA guides people to do their own scheduling and managing of home building. Acting as your own general contractor is legal and can save you at least 20%. For example that is $30,000 on a $150,000 house. Plus, getting contractor prices from suppliers and subs will save you even more according to Johnny Graham, COO.

Other benefits include; credit repair, pre-selected mortgage companies, buying clubs, training classes for the owner/builder, work trade, and one on one consulting.

Our classes take the individual from concept to moving into the home they built," added Graham.

And sometimes we will have specific home improvement classes for those that want to get there

hands dirty," Grahman said. For more information go to www.uoba.org or call 801-392-1407.
