Q Comm Broadens Market With Commercial Launch of Its Prepaid Application for the Verifone Omni 3750 Launch Comes Ahead of Schedule
Q Comm International, Inc. This new application will enable the electronic distribution of prepaid and related services through the Omni 3750, which is a payment-processing terminal currently used for merchant processing of credit and debit card payments in thousands of locations. Q Comm supports the Omni 3750 terminal with its proprietary backend transaction processing platform. Once the new Q Comm firmware and POS software are downloaded onto the terminal, which can occur remotely over a standard phone line, the terminal can be used immediately to sell any of the prepaid products in Q Comms product library including wireless, long distance, home dial tone, Internet, MasterCard and more, as well as the postpaid or bill pay" services of Verizon, Sprint and others.

With its new application, Q Comm can extend the same support and many of the distinct features of its proprietary Qxpress 200 POS terminal to the Omni 3750 including:
•System power and reliability. Q Comms system was designed to support other platforms such as the Omni 3750 using substantially the same, powerful and proven backend and POS software as Qxpress 200. Also, the Omni 3750 will utilize Q Comms offline transaction methodology where personal identification numbers (PINs) are stored in the terminals memory for increased product creation speed and reliability at the point of sale.
•Ease of use. Q Comm extends its user-friendly menu format to the Omni 3750. No memorization of codes is required. The Omni 3750 will also feature hot keys" that enable the simple and speedy creation of the most frequently used products with the single touch of a button. Also, after initial setup, new products can be easily added to the terminals over time without re-downloading POS software.
•Flexibility. Users of the Omni 3750 can choose to sell any of the many products maintained by Q Comm as well as their own.
•Customization. Q Comm supports the Omni 3750 with a highly qualified staff of software engineers and information technology professionals who can customize services for strategic customers. Q Comm does not outsource this work.
