Nonprofit 527 political org based in Michigan raise funds for 2004 election issue advertisements.

Citizens for a Democratic America has been started to educate citizens on issues that affect Americans. We are a nonprofit 527 political org based in Michigan. We are raising funds to display issue ads in the battleground states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

(PRWEB) June 10, 2004 --Citizens for a Democratic America, a Michigan-based 527 political organization, is please to announce that it will be developing issue advertisements in the coming years to send messages to citizens that are clear and honest.

CDA was started by two individuals, Shaun Farrugia and Steven Graczyk, in response to a number of "spun" issues that come from all levels of government. The messages that were being put out were extremely misleading and this was felt all over the world. CDA wishes to counter the "spin" with advertisements that are clear and honest.

Both individuals are excited to begin fundraising. The website, www.solidpatriot.org, is now able to accept payments via the Paypal (tm) payment system. There is a mass-mailing to 10000 individuals that will take place on June 25th, 2004. These funds will be used to purchase advertising space on local outlets in battleground states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

"There is a lot planned for the next month" Shaun says. "We are going to announce a commercial creation contest where people can enter thier 15-30 second spots that highlight Kerry's record and clarify issues that the Bush team may be spinning out of control."

"We are concerned that the job creation will be viewed as new jobs, when in fact we are just gaining jobs that we lost over the past few years.. So we're still in the negative as far as the economy goes" says Steve.

"We want to make sure that the important messages get highlighted, and the truth gets back to being the truth." says Shaun. "We know that politics is politics and this happens all the time - but we really feel that enough is enough and people deserve a straight and honest message. Especially in these states. In the coming years, we hope to be there to clarify and get back to the honest message on any administration, Democratic, Republican or even Green." states Shaun.
