"NYC's Biggest Comedy Festival" - 30 Venues, 50 Events

This is the second annual event. The 2003 NYC Underground Comedy Festival TM was held for 3 sold out nights at the Laurie Beechman Theater, and featured performances by some of New York City's best established and up-and-coming comedians.

We'd like to thank Eddie Brill for his special guest appearances every night and to Jim Gaffigan on his appearance at the closing night gala.

The NYCUCF in our second year is set to hit various New York City locations, including The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Bitter End, The NY Improv, Gotham, Pip's& Stand-Up NY, Laugh Lounge, The Gotham Comedy Club, The NY Improv, Gotham, Pip's on Tuesday, October 5th to Saturday October 9th.

The NYCUCF is truly an extremely unique event bringing comedy to all five boroughs including NYC landmarks such as The Bitter End where everyone from Woody Allen to Richard Pryor started, to Pip's the oldest comedy club in the country.

The NYC Underground Comedy Festival TM will encompass all of NYC including free shows at The NY Public Library and all the outer borough branches for all people of NY.

The festival is set to kick off at the world famous Bitter End with an all star gala event for a wonderful cause; raising money for our servicemen and women stationed overseas to call their families during the holiday season. Last year a similar event was produced by the festival, with an all-star line-up including Tough Crowd's Colin Quinn, HBO's Bob Nelson, Jim Gaffigan, and Tom Cotter raising over $15,000 which was distributed through Operation: Uplink.

Due to the overwhelming demand from both the industry and the general public, the 2004 festival has expanded to a full week, October 5th to October 10th, and we're inviting comedians from across the country to participate. Submissions are currently being accepted for this October Event.
