Genzyme Corp. Completes Successful Go-Live with Pilgrim Softwares SmartCAPA Nonconformance and Deviation Management Solution

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) June 11, 2004 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Quality and Compliance Management solutions, today announced that Genzyme Corp., a global biotechnology company, has successfully gone-live with Pilgrims SmartCAPA solution at its Framingham, Massachusetts facility.

Prior to implementing SmartCAPA, Genzyme managed nonconformances and deviations using a variety of paper-based solutions. These solutions, while adequate for maintaining an effective corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process, were considered time consuming and difficult to manage.

SmartCAPA is a Web-based nonconformance and deviation management solution, built on Microsoft .NET technology. The system will function as a single CAPA platform, procedure and database for Genzyme that will capture and categorize all CAPA's by location, product, system, no-compliance, and other relevant groups.

Genzyme also purchased Pilgrims Validation Pack for SmartCAPA. These validation scripts help to ensure that the software performs as intended within Genzymes working environment. Genzyme also wrote their own protocols to validate their own requirements and intended purpose for the software.
